Position Overview

Client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support a critical Finance Application Modernization initiative. This role involves analyzing legacy systems and data flows downstream of the Single Family Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW) to support modernization efforts. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in data analysis, ETL processes, SQL, and enterprise data environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify dependencies between applications and systems on the current CDW platform.
• Analyze Business Requirement Specifications (BRS) and ETL code to align with modernization goals.
• Define and document data requirements for Finance and Accounting systems.
• Create detailed data mapping documents outlining data flows, transformations, and system interactions.
• Develop and validate complex SQL queries to support data analysis and migration.
• Assist in mapping source-to-target data (e.g., Nexus to Finance applications) and define derivation logic.
• Ensure thorough documentation and traceability of data lineage and mapping activities.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data warehousing, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and ability to interpret ETL code.
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, validation, and scripting.
• Familiarity with tools such as DataStage, Informatica, SAS, and Python.
• Experience working with enterprise-scale systems and creating data mapping documentation.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Development experience in data platforms or ETL environments.
• Understanding of Unix-based systems.
