Job Title: Program Manager
Location: (East Coast preferred; proximity New Jersey/Delaware/Philadelphia area preferred not required). Remote if nonlocal but open to traveling occasionally.
Duration: Anticipated to be a 2-year contract
Role Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Program Manager to lead this complex, cross-functional payments program. The ideal candidate will have deep experience managing large-scale programs in financial services and banking, particularly in enterprise payments, and will be comfortable navigating both Agile and Waterfall environments. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement across digital, fraud, contact center, and consumer deposits domains, with a focus on roadmap execution, budget oversight, and milestone tracking.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90.00 - $140.00/hr.

Key Responsibilities:
- Drive program execution across internal teams and third-party vendors
- Manage project artifacts, meeting cadences, and status reporting
- Monitor burn rates, resource allocation, and budget adherence
- Align deliverables with strategic milestones and program roadmap
- Collaborate with executive stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment
- Support requirements gathering and validation during discovery phase
- Provide oversight on financial tracking at the program level
Required Qualifications:
- 10-15+ years of program/project management experience in financial services/banking
- Proven success managing $20-50M+ programs with multiple stakeholders
- Strong understanding of enterprise payments technology, including Zelle or other P2P integrations
- Experience working across cross functional organizations
- Expertise in both Agile (Scaled Agile preferred) and Waterfall methodologies
- Strong PMO with a focus on governance, reporting, and financial tracking
- Excellent communication skills and comfort engaging at the executive level
Preferred Qualifications:
- Peer-to-peer payments experience
- Prior experience with Zelle integrations
- Ability to assess payment-related requirements and flag unrealistic timelines
