Job Details
Role:Devops Engineer
Location:Charlotte, NC or Addison, TX 5 days onsite
Duration:12-18 month W2 contract
Must Haves:

Responsibilities:
Provides subject matter expertise and consulting services on a range of technologies and assists Data Engineers, Data Architects, and Infrastructure Engineers to ensure that technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards.
Acts as a liaison between a Cybersecurity data architecture team and a data management platform team to facilitate data model to GraphQL conversions and releases in a federated data API
Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
Automates manual release activities
Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
Proficient working in an environment that is heavy on operations technology (automation, optimization, rapid development)
Skills:
Deep understanding of containerization technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
Familiarity with DevOps stack including Bitbucket, Artifactory, Jenkins, Ansible
Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
Strong experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Bash, or PowerShell
Must be passionate about implementing scalable, performant, reliable, and secure automation solutions
Architectural level knowledge of automation solutions
Experience with both on prem and cloud platforms, including infrastructure provisioning and automation.
Knowledge of security best practices and the ability to implement security controls at the infrastructure level.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus or Splunk.
Familiarity with GraphQL, GraphAPI tools like Apollo and Microservices
Strong command of automation scripting and CI/CD
Linux expertise
A passion for continuous learning and keeping up to date with the latest trends and technologies in DevOps and software engineering.
Creative problem solver with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously to deliver solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
Trino/Starburst and Data Modeling knowledge would be a plus
