RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client in New Berlin, WI that is looking for an Engineering Manager. Seeking a candidate strong in technical design, can develop engineers, and represent the team with customers. This position is fully in office reporting the General Manager.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and direct engineering requirements related to development of custom products to meet individual customers' needs effectively, providing hands-on assistance and technical review and direction, as required
* Monitor KPI's for the engineering team's performance including quality, on-time deliverables, capacity, and utilization. Recommend staffing adjustments to maintain the balance between individual workloads and the business' technical needs
* Create and lead collaborative teams through complex projects, developing and driving controls throughout areas of these projects to ensure developmental activities meet standards for quality, cost, and delivery
* Lead efforts for engineering team development initiatives, establish personnel goals, and perform reviews
* Coach, mentor, and empower direct reports to drive achievement of business goals and objectives
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
* 7-10 years of design and/or manufacturing engineering experience required
* 5 years of engineering management experience in a manufacturing environment
* Strong technical background
* Prior experience in metals, elastomers, plastics, machine components and/or machine design preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
