Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Test Automation Engineer with experience in Selenium to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work on automating test cases, developing and maintaining test scripts, and ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will collaborate with developers, QA teams, and product managers to ensure the smooth execution of automated tests across various platforms and environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Automated Test Scripts using Selenium WebDriver for web applications.
  • Design, Implement, and Execute Automated Test Cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (Product, Development, and QA) to understand requirements and provide input on test automation strategies.
  • Enhance Test Frameworks by integrating with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) to automate test execution.
  • Debug and Troubleshoot Test Failures by analyzing test logs and identifying issues in code or application functionality.
  • Ensure Test Coverage by designing robust test cases that thoroughly validate features and functionality.
  • Report Test Results through automated reporting systems (e.g., Allure, TestNG, Extent Reports).
  • Contribute to Test Plan Development, including test strategies, test case development, and execution schedules.
  • Perform Performance and Load Testing (using tools like JMeter or similar) when required.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging testing tools and best practices, recommending improvements to the testing process.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in Test Automation using Selenium WebDriver.
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, or other programming languages used in test automation.
  • Strong understanding of Test Automation Frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, or similar).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or similar for test automation integration.
  • Experience in Version Control Systems (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with RESTful API Testing and tools like Postman, REST Assured.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and working in Agile environments.
  • Experience with cross-browser testing and handling different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, etc.).
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtual environments is a bonus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber or Gherkin.
  • Experience in mobile test automation using Appium or similar frameworks.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and their integration with testing processes.
  • Knowledge of database testing and SQL for validation of backend data.
