Job Details

Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to work onsite at our Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) facility in Tewksbury, MA. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on aviation security while advancing your career.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Integrate security requirements into IT systems.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments
  • Maintain and troubleshoot secure Windows and Linux baselines
  • Implement system hardening and compliance
  • Implement and integrate static and dynamic code analysis tools
  • Research and evaluate Cybersecurity tools and methodologies
  • Collaborate with cyber and product architects to harden platforms and tool chains
  • Define and enforce secure-by-default software engineering practices
  • Document and automate best practices
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field. Additional experience, certifications or training may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 3+ years of relevant IT/ DevOps/Security Engineering experience.
  • Active DoD Approved 8570/8140 Baseline Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months (e.g. CompTIA Security+, Network+, CySA+, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, etc).
  • Beginner to intermediate Windows, Linux and Networking skills
  • Experience in hardening modern operating systems and implementing security engineering best practices.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Programming/Scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell, C++, C#, Java (minimum)
  • Networking: Strong understanding of network architecture - Experience with core infrastructure services administration such as AD, DNS, DHCP, and File Server administration
  • Experience with DISA STIGs and/or CIS Benchmarks; deploying secure images with Ansible, SteelCloud, and/or Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)
  • Experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, NIST 800-171 (CMMC), or Risk Management Framework (RMF).
