Solution Architect
Location: Remote (BUT prefer someone who lives in Minnesota – that is best OR lives in the Midwest section of the USA / Central Time Zone)

Also, someone can be considered who has been involved in some architecture and shows great potential (someone they could mentor – who is on their way to getting their CISSP. works across application, data, cloud, infrastructure, and operations teams. 
 
ROLE SUMMARY 
A well-rounded Solution Architect with strong security expertise, responsible for designing secure, scalable, integrated solutions across enterprise initiatives, including a multi year core banking modernization program. 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
• Lead security solution architecture for enterprise modernization efforts. 
• Design secure, integrated technology solutions aligned with business goals. 
• Develop architecture artifacts: reference architectures, HLD/LLD diagrams, roadmaps, threat models. 
• Advocate for security across applications, integrations, data, cloud, and infrastructure. 
• Collaborate with CTO and CISO to align strategy and execution. 
• Participate in governance (ARB), secure coding guidance, incident response design. 
• Evaluate emerging tech—including AI, GenAI, quantum—through a security lens. 
• Ensure compliance with QCRH technology and security standards. 
 
MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS 
• Demonstrated Solution Architecture experience. 
• Strong networking and security background. 
• Experience across applications, data, cloud, and infrastructure. 
• CISSP (or actively pursuing) and related education. 
• Experience building roadmaps and documenting solution designs. 
• Experience with Azure security: VNets, Key Vault, Private Endpoints, WAF, Conditional Access. 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. 
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 
• Experience developing security roadmaps. 
• Understanding of quantum impacts on security. 
• Exposure to EA responsibilities. 
• Banking/financial modernization experience (preferred but not required). 
• Proficiency with Visio. 
• Experience with real time fraud detection in payments.
