Salary: up to $110,000/year (based on experience)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with expert-level SQL skills, strong experience in data integration, and proficiency in data visualization to join our logistics and operations technology team. You will design, build, and maintain complex data pipelines across Microsoft SQL Server and cloud environments, enabling seamless data flow and real-time insights.

This role requires advanced SQL expertise to extract, transform, and optimize large datasets. You will also be responsible for creating and supporting data visualization dashboards that provide critical operational visibility and support data-driven decision-making across departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain high-performance SQL queries and stored procedures in Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Design, optimize, and automate ETL processes for operational and logistics data.
  • Build integrations for structured data transfers between internal and external systems.
  • Create and manage dashboards to support operational insights and executive reporting.
  • Proactively improve SQL performance, eliminate bottlenecks, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Document technical processes, schema changes, and data flow logic.
  • Collaborate with operations, dispatch, and analytics teams to deliver data solutions.

Requirements:

  • 4 5+ years of hands-on experience in a Data Engineer or similar data-heavy role.
  • Expert-level SQL skills, including complex joins and aggregations, and performance optimization.
  • Direct experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with data integration or ETL development.
  • Proficiency in building dashboards and visualizing operational data.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a production environment.
