Job Summary:
This engineering position focuses on conducting detailed investigations related to regulatory compliance issues within commercial aircraft programs. The successful candidate will independently lead cross-functional teams through root cause analysis using structured methodologies to identify systemic issues and implement corrective actions. The role supports aircraft certification across the full lifecycle and plays a key part in maintaining operational safety and regulatory integrity.

Job Summary:
This engineering position focuses on conducting detailed investigations related to regulatory compliance issues within commercial aircraft programs. The successful candidate will independently lead cross-functional teams through root cause analysis using structured methodologies to identify systemic issues and implement corrective actions. The role supports aircraft certification across the full lifecycle and plays a key part in maintaining operational safety and regulatory integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead structured investigations related to FAA compliance actions, voluntary disclosures, self-audits, and airworthiness non-compliances
- Guide engineering disciplines such as systems, structures, payloads, and propulsion through problem definition and root cause analysis
- Develop and implement containment actions, corrective solutions, and measures to prevent recurrence
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, engineering teams, and suppliers to align resolution and investigation progress
- Ensure documentation meets regulatory expectations through close coordination with the Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA)
- Collaborate with process and performance teams to improve investigative tools and frameworks
- Communicate complex technical findings to varied audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support broader safety initiatives across programs and leadership functions
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 1 year relevant professional experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse, multidisciplinary teams
- Self-driven with leadership capability and project ownership mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of related work experience
- Familiarity with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies such as 5-Whys, Fishbone, and structured investigation processes
- Experience with commercial aircraft operations, safety certification, and compliance procedures
- Knowledge of FAA regulatory procedures and documentation requirements (FAA Order 8100.15)
- Direct experience working with FAA or other regulatory agencies
- Background in commercial aircraft systems design or analysis (flight controls, hydraulics, avionics, fuel systems, or integration)
- Possession of a pilot's license and/or Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
