Java Developer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer with our client in the financial Industry located in Phoenix, AZ, Charlotte, NC and Dallas, TX. This is a 24+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Consult on or participate in moderately complex software engineering initiatives and deliverables
• Analyze and evaluate software engineering challenges that require an in-depth understanding of variable factors
• Contribute to the resolution of technical challenges while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
• Collaborate with client personnel and cross-functional teams to meet software engineering goals
• Assist in the design and development of scalable, high-performing applications

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent experience through work, consulting, training, military service, or education
• 4+ years of experience developing scalable Java-based applications
• 4+ years of experience developing or consuming REST-based web services
• 2+ years of experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases
• Experience working in Scrum teams with familiarity in CI/CD tools

Hands-on experience with:

• Apache Kafka
• MongoDB
• APIGEE Gateway
• Microservices
• Event-Driven Architectures

Strong knowledge of cloud-based computing.
Proficiency in Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
Experience with major database engines, including Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2
Understanding of technology architecture, including distributed and client-server technologies
Experience designing and developing modern web applications and mobile technologies E xperience building microservices based on event-driven architecture and domain-driven design
Pay Range: $44-54
