Job Title: Sr. Systems Administrator IV

Job Summary:
The Systems Administrator IV is a principal-level engineer responsible for architecting, implementing, and managing large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments with a primary focus on Microsoft Domain Services. This includes advanced expertise in Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft Cloud and hybrid integrations (Azure AD, Entra ID). The role requires extensive experience designing secure, scalable, and resilient domain architectures supporting thousands of users and systems. The Systems Administrator IV will serve as the top-tier technical authority, providing mentorship, direction, and governance for the organization s Microsoft ecosystem.

The Systems Administrator IV is a principal-level engineer primarily responsible for architecting, implementing, and managing large-scale Microsoft Domain Services in enterprise environments, requiring over twelve years of experience, with at least seven focused on domain and identity services.
This role demands expert-level mastery of Active Directory (AD) architecture, replication, Group Policy design, DNS, DHCP, and core Windows Server functions, alongside advanced expertise in Microsoft Cloud and hybrid integrations such as Azure AD/Entra ID, identity synchronization, SSO, MFA, and Conditional Access. Key responsibilities include leading enterprise domain projects (e.g., forest restructuring and migrations), utilizing PowerShell scripting and automation to streamline administration, acting as a top-tier technical authority and SME for the Microsoft ecosystem, and ensuring all systems maintain cybersecurity compliance (HIPAA, NIST, SOC 2) and adherence to ITIL change management processes.
Finally, this position requires excellent leadership, mentorship, communication, and documentation skills to govern the environment, provide Tier IV support, and partner with leadership on evaluating emerging technologies.
The ideal candidate maintains an expert-level awareness of Microsoft best practices, security standards, and emerging technologies. They communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, provide mentorship, and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration. Finally, this individual ensures compliance with all organizational, regulatory, and security policies.
Familiarity with PKI, ADFS, Azure AD Connect, Intune, and MDM policies.

Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master s Degree preferred.
Twelve (12+) years of progressive systems administration experience with at least seven (7+) years focused on Microsoft domain and identity services in large enterprise environments.
