Position Title: Cloud Database Administrator (Senior)

Location: National Capital Region - Patriots Plaza 2, Washington Metropolitan Area

Remote Work: Not authorized without prior government approval

Clearance Level: Top Secret

Education Level: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Database Management

This position is for a proposal. Current or previous experience working with the FBI is required.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Performing activities to provision BI databases in support of FRA-C and FDDW
  • Scheduling patches for deployment leveraging AWS capabilities to minimize production downtime
  • Monitoring database activities and taking corrective action for availability, sustainability, and performance
  • Working with application teams to enhance or improve database performance
  • Developing, maintaining, and enhancing database administration operational documentation
  • Collaborating across ATS system teams to determine database requirements and designs
  • Overseeing database backup, adhering to prescribed backup strategies
  • Determining and implementing database configurations to improve performance and availability
  • Maintaining database configurations and Requests for Change using Atlassian suite (JIRA) or other project management software
  • Utilizing cloud services and automation tools to streamline tasks
