Job Title: Cloud Networking Engineer

Location : Mountain View, CA / Remote (PST Time Zone)

Hiring Type : Full Time/ Contract

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Networking Engineer proficient in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in networking concepts with expertise in managing Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), configuring Firewalls, establishing Interconnects, and defining Subnets within the Google Cloud Platform environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) networks to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability.
• Configure and maintain firewall rules and security policies to protect cloud resources and prevent unauthorized access.
• Establish and manage Interconnects between on-premises infrastructure and Google Cloud Platform, ensuring seamless connectivity and low latency.
• Define and manage Subnets within VPC networks to efficiently allocate IP addresses and organize resources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand networking requirements and develop solutions that align with business goals.
• Troubleshoot network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and Google Cloud Platform networking services to continuously optimize cloud infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing networking solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
• In-depth knowledge of VPC, Firewall rules, Interconnect, and Subnet configuration in Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands-on experience with network protocols, routing, and switching technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Google Cloud Platform certification(s) (e.g., Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Network Engineer) is a plus.
