Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven track record of successfully implementing new manufacturing processes and supporting production readiness.
Preferred: Experience in automotive/truck manufacturing or other high-volume, world-class industries.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proficient in AutoCAD (required) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Working knowledge of CAD tools such as SolidWorks, ProE, or NX.
Experience with ERP systems and simulation software.
Familiarity with TeamCenter is a plus.
Expertise in: Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Just-In-Time (JIT), Cycle Time and Ergonomic Analysis and Facility/Layout Design
Proficient in quality tools and techniques: PFMEA, SPC, Pareto Analysis, Problem-Solving Methodologies
Strong communication skills-able to create technical documentation, lead meetings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Capable of managing project timelines, resources, and budgets.
Knowledge of OSHA, ISO, and other safety/regulatory compliance standards.
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze new product features/processes for manufacturing impact.
Design and implement optimized manufacturing processes.
Lead and support cross-functional teams during new product launch and manufacturing updates.
Develop and maintain production layout updates and line balance analysis using AutoCAD.
Conduct engineering analyses including: Time Studies, Feasibility Studies, Decision Matrices
Manage process documentation: PFMEA, Standard Work Instructions, Process Change Requests, Buy-off Forms, Statement of Work (SOW), Problem Follow-Up Sheets
Coordinate and verify supplier readiness and equipment/tooling requirements.
Support training plan development and execution for new processes.
Lead pilot builds and capture/follow up on issues identified during implementation.
Communicate project updates and escalate concerns to management as needed.
Collaborate with vendors, designers, and other internal stakeholders to review and implement plant layout designs.
