Position Summary
In this senior-level engineering role, you'll be a key player in supporting and enhancing a robust on-premise infrastructure that services mission-critical operations. The successful candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Windows Server management, Active Directory administration, M365 support, and core network services. This role is ideal for infrastructure generalists who enjoy both breadth and depth in systems responsibilities and prefer to work in a stable, non-cloud-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain a fleet of Windows-based servers and VMware environments.
- Oversee Group Policy management and organizational unit architecture in Active Directory.
- Manage infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, print servers, file sharing, and certificate services.
- Provide support for the Microsoft 365 suite (including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive) in a self-hosted environment.
- Execute patching, server deployments, and system upgrades based on application and operational needs.
- Conduct SOX-compliant infrastructure reporting and documentation.
- Support minor physical hardware modifications in local data centers.
- Collaborate with a tightly knit team of engineers to maintain high systems uptime and reliability.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in a Windows Server engineering role within mid-size or enterprise-level environments.
- Proven expertise in Active Directory and GPO administration.
- Hands-on experience with core M365 applications in an on-premise (non-cloud) setup.
- Proven expertise in IP address management, domain name systems, and digital certificate administration.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery tools (Veeam or similar platforms).
- Strong interpersonal and troubleshooting skills, with an emphasis on proactive issue resolution.
- Comfortable working on-site five days a week as part of a high-performing IT operations team.
