Title: Lead Data Scientist / ML Engineer

Location: Reston, VA (Remote) need only local candidates from VA

We re seeking a skilled Machine Learning Engineer with a strong foundation in data science to join our growing AI/ML team. In this role, you ll be responsible for scaling, optimizing, and implementing machine learning pipelines, while working with a modern cloud-native stack.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and scale robust ML pipelines in production environments

Optimize model performance and deployment workflows

Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize ML models

Drive cloud-based ML development, with a focus on AWS services (SageMaker and transitioning to Bedrock)

Ensure high-performance, scalable solutions across the ML lifecycle

Required Skills:

Proven experience as an ML Engineer with a data science background

Strong proficiency in Python for ML development and automation

Deep experience with AWS cloud services, especially in ML/AI contexts

Demonstrated expertise in pipeline implementation, optimization, and scaling

Nice to Have:

Exposure to or hands-on experience with Generative AI (GenAI)

Experience with modern ML orchestration tools and MLOps best practices
