Job Description:

AJ Consulting Group is seeking a System Administrator with deep expertise in Linux environments and Python scripting to support a critical infrastructure team in Scottsdale, AZ. This is a 100% onsite role, ideal for candidates looking for hands-on, impactful work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and deliver Oracle Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu servers

  • Support server, storage, and database migration efforts

  • Perform root cause analysis for major incidents

  • Develop automation and monitoring tools using Python (7+ years), Shell, and Perl

  • Manage and validate continuous security patching for OS

  • Ensure adherence to IT standards and engineering best practices

  • Document and improve build procedures for back-tier infrastructure

  • Support engineering initiatives to enhance infrastructure resiliency

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in Python scripting

  • Strong experience with Linux system administration (Oracle Enterprise Linux & Ubuntu)

  • Knowledge of Shell and Perl scripting

  • Proven experience in OS patching and security compliance

  • Ability to document and communicate technical procedures effectively

  • Experience with infrastructure engineering, migrations, and automation
