Job Description Position: Lead IT Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 months
Job summary: The Lead IT Engineer will oversee and manage the design, implementation, and optimization of Azure environments, focusing on performance, security, and cost efficiency. The role involves leadership in guiding engineers, managing Microsoft cloud products, and ensuring timely project delivery. The engineer will also perform cost-benefit analyses and lead efforts in automation to enhance efficiency.
Must-have:
* Strong experience with Azure and Azure Virtual Desktop
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365 cloud products (Intune, SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive)
* Expertise in automation tools (PowerShell, Ansible)
* Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP)
* Experience in project management, cost-benefit analysis, and team leadership
Responsibilities:
* Oversee the architecture, design, and implementation of Azure environments
* Manage MS licensing and cloud products (M365, Intune, SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive)
* Lead and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring successful project deliverables
* Automate processes to improve efficiency and reduce risks
* Perform cost-benefit analysis for IT solutions to guide management decisions
* Prioritize environment changes to minimize impact on users and business operations
