Job Title: Technical Lead Full Stack (Java / AWS / AI)

Company: Confidential Healthcare Client
Location: 100% Remote (Must work EST hours)
Duration: 12+ Months (Contract-to-Hire Must be able to convert without sponsorship)

About the Role

We re seeking a Technical Lead (Fullstack Java) with proven experience building and scaling microservices architectures in the AWS Cloud.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on in Java API development, capable of leading technical decisions, and have recent exposure to AI-driven development or automation.

Core Technical Focus

  1. Full Stack Development (Java) deep hands-on expertise with Java 8+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and modern front-end (React or Angular).

  2. Microservices Architecture & Development design, build, and scale cloud-native, decoupled services.

  3. API Development secure RESTful API design, versioning, integration, and governance.

  4. AWS Architecture Knowledge strong practical understanding of AWS ecosystem (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, CloudFormation/Terraform).

  5. Recent AI Development Exposure recent experience (past 6 12 months) using AI tools, integrating ML APIs, or leveraging AI-assisted development (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, SageMaker).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of cloud-native, microservices-based Java applications.

  • Architect and implement scalable APIs and integration layers.

  • Oversee deployment and infrastructure design on AWS.

  • Mentor developers and review design/code for performance and security.

  • Introduce AI-driven tools or frameworks into development workflows.

  • Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to align architecture with business outcomes.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of overall software development experience.

  • 3+ years of Technical Leadership experience in large-scale distributed systems.

  • Expert in Java (Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices).

  • Strong AWS architecture and DevOps understanding.

  • Experience with React or Angular front-end development.

  • Exposure to AI-assisted development or ML integration within the last 6 12 months.

  • Background in Healthcare or FinTech domains preferred.

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
