Technical Business Analyst (Capital Markets)
Client: Canadian Big 5 Bank
Location: New York City. Hybrid: 3 days in office per week.
Duration of Contract/Perm: 6 months rolling, up to 2 years.
Hours/week: 37.5 hrs/wk. 9-5 PM, M-F

Job Description
This role is supporting part of the US Expansion program. The team handles the electronic side of swaps, aiming to expand the US team and support the existing desks. The Technical Business Analyst will work closely with Front Office Traders to understand their needs, identify automation opportunities, and streamline processes to eliminate manual tasks.

Job Description
This role is supporting part of the US Expansion program. The team handles the electronic side of swaps, aiming to expand the US team and support the existing desks. The Technical Business Analyst will work closely with Front Office Traders to understand their needs, identify automation opportunities, and streamline processes to eliminate manual tasks.
Key Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with Traders to document and establish comprehensive end-to-end trading solutions and requirements.
- Manage day-to-day front office operations, prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Analyze and resolve production issues (e.g., unexpected price displays).
- Partner with development teams to automate processes for the Fixed Income Trade Desk.
- Coordinate with vendors on deployments.
Must Have Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience working with Front Office Desk (Capital Markets - Fixed Income specific product knowledge).
- Proficiency in working with front office teams and deep product knowledge in Fixed Income US Treasury, Swaps, and Trade Platforms.
- Ability to work independently as the sole BA in the US, reporting remotely to Sam.
- Strong understanding of trading venues and integration.
- Expertise in at least one or two trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, TOMs, Broadway, DTS, IONS).
- Advanced SQL skills, as the role involves significant technical work.
- Exposure to electronic trading.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Treasury business.
- Ability to thrive under high-pressure conditions, typical of working with Traders.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of Python (ability to read and understand code, as automation tasks are often executed using Python)
