Oracle DBA

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Oracle DBA in Westlake, TX.

Responsibilities:
* Oracle DBA will perform Oracle database administration tasks including installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching
* Review SQL code, optimize queries, and support application development teams with performance tuning and physical data modeling
* Manage multi-site database replication using Oracle GoldenGate
* Provide support for cloud-based database platforms in Linux environments
* Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for production support, maintenance, and incident resolution
* Collaborate with system administrators, cybersecurity, and capacity planning teams
* As an Oracle DBA, you will develop and maintain database monitoring scripts using PL/SQL and Linux shell scripting
* Establish and enforce database standards for operations, migrations, and onboarding new applications
* Contribute to DevSecOps initiatives and data masking strategies
* Support Agile development teams throughout the SDLC

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
* Proven experience in Oracle database administration and engineering
* Experience with cloud database platforms (AWS, Azure) in Linux environments
* Familiarity with ITSM practices (Change, Incident, Problem Management)
* Expertise in Oracle GoldenGate replication setup and management
* Strong SQL performance tuning and optimization skills
* Proficiency in Linux shell scripting and PL/SQL
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Skills:
* Experience with enterprise data tools and platforms such as Snowflake, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and DB2
* Experience in enterprise-scale IT environments, particularly in regulated industries
* Exposure to data governance tools like Collibra or Alation
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
