TITLE: Technical Training Documentation Specialist
Location : CAMDEN, NJ(Hybrid)
Duration : 12+months
PROJECT OVERVIEW:
Multi project situation in process of modernizing analytics env moving from Oracle and Qlik stack over to Azure and Power BI. Whole new look an dfeel. As part of this, wanted to bring someone in with a training and documentation background from an end user standpoint to help business to lenar how to use PowerBI what the metrics mean, how use dashboards in day to day work.
Build vignettes of videos on training platform. FAQ documents
ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT INSIGHT:
Will need PowerBI and Understand how PowerBI works how features work.
Look at things from business side. Explain to the business.
WHY OPEN: They are migrating from Oracle to Azure. They need to get training material created for their end users on using new systems.
KEY FACTS:
This person will not be doing the training. They will be developing the end user training manuals and materials.
Finding new ways to improve the training material.
They have a home grown LMS where training videos are stored.
This person will be giving a lot of input on how they build this out. That experience is important to have.
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and user-focused professional to develop and deliver training materials for our custom Power BI reporting applications. This role bridges the gap between technical development and end-user adoption, ensuring users can confidently and effectively use our BI tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive training materials including user guides, video tutorials, quick reference sheets, and FAQs.
- Conduct live or recorded training sessions tailored to different user groups (e.g., analysts, executives, operations).
- Collaborate with vendors, BI developers and business stakeholders to understand reporting functionality and user needs.
- Create and maintain documentation for custom Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Gather feedback from users to continuously improve training content and delivery.
- Support onboarding of new users and provide ongoing learning resources.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with Power BI, including understanding of dashboards, data models, and DAX.
- Experience in instructional design, technical writing, or adult learning.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly content.
- Familiarity with tools like Camtasia, Snagit, Articulate, or similar is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Information Systems, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working in Agile or cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of data governance and reporting best practices.
- Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik)
