Job Title: IT Security Specialist Job ID: 25-08679 Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid) Duration: 11 months of contract.
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced EHR Security Coordinator to manage access controls, conduct audits, enforce HIPAA/HITECH compliance, and ensure EHR system security. The role involves working closely with IT and compliance teams to safeguard patient data and support incident response.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure EHR system compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and internal policies
- Oversee user access provisioning and role-based access controls (RBAC)
- Conduct security audits, manage incident response, and coordinate risk assessments
- Collaborate with IT/security teams and support EHR system integrations
- Recommend improvements based on evolving security trends
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3 5 years of IT security experience (healthcare preferred)
- Knowledge of HIPAA, EHR systems, risk management, and RBAC
- Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, HCISPP) preferred
Other Requirements:
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Weekly U.S. travel required
- On-call availability for security incidents
