Product Quality Engineer II

The Product Quality Engineer II position will play a key role in the continued growth and success of the company. Working with the Product Quality Engineering team you will focus on ensuring that all new and existing products are compliant and meet governing regulations, while providing technical product support to other departments.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Develop a working knowledge of the regulations and industry standards for product categories. Participate on ASTM subcommittees to ensure the CLIENT is aware of regulatory changes in all applicable categories.
• Research regulatory requirements for new product categories and navigate compliance questions with 3rd party labs. Provide technical support and share design recommendations with design engineers.
• Ensure all products are compliant with applicable regulations allowing them to be sold to all target countries. Communicate complex regulatory requirements to design engineers during the development process.
• Summarize regulatory requirements for international markets and help launch new products into different markets.
• Review prototypes and concepts with the Product Development team to address safety, function, and reliability concerns. Benchmark consumer products from a reliability and safety perspective to advise quality specifications.
• Create quality specifications and test procedures for new products to ensure new products are safe and reliable.
• Design experiments and test fixtures to evaluate product reliability and function. Execute in house testing and design of experiments to understand effects of design variables.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s Degree in Industrial Operations or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years experience in compliance or quality assurance function
• International travel 1 time per year and ability to clearly communication with international suppliers
• Ability to comprehend complicated regulatory standards and simplify for product development team
• Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Excel. Ability to manipulate and process large amounts of data
