Job Description:
Role: Project Manager
Location: Bay area, CA (Remote)
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee complex IT systems and integration projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management methodologies, excellent leadership skills, and hands-on experience with ServiceNow and Agile practices. This role requires exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills to ensure the successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver complex IT systems and integration projects, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Lead multi-phase project planning, scheduling, and execution using project management best practices.
  • Oversee Agile project delivery, including sprint planning, backlog management, and iterative release cycles.
  • Utilize ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management for project tracking, reporting, and governance.
  • Manage the deployment and implementation of the ServiceNow Platform, ensuring smooth transition and adoption.
  • Facilitate and coordinate Organizational Change Management (OCM) activities to support project success.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation including schedules, status reports, and project plans.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Use Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word for project planning, tracking, and reporting purposes.
Mandatory Qualifications
  1. Certification:
    • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) (verification required).
  2. Experience:
    • Minimum five (5) years of broad and extensive experience managing complex IT systems and integration projects.
    • At least three (3) years of that experience must be in a lead or supervisory capacity.
    • Experience must include projects with strategic and business significance, with details on scope, timeframe, cost, and specific responsibilities demonstrating application of Project Management principles and best practices.
  3. Agile Methodology:
    • Minimum three (3) years of experience managing projects utilizing Agile methodologies.
  4. Project Evaluation & Oversight:
    • Minimum two (2) years of experience evaluating and managing large-scale, multi-phase projects, including the development of project schedules, status reports, and plans (within the last ten years).
  5. Technical Proficiency:
    • Minimum three (3) years of experience using Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.
  6. ServiceNow Expertise:
    • Minimum two (2) years of experience with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management.
    • Minimum two (2) years of experience managing deployment and implementation of the ServiceNow Platform.
  7. Organizational Change Management:
    • Minimum two (2) years of experience facilitating and coordinating Organization Change Management (OCM) initiatives.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and drive results under tight deadlines.
  • Deep understanding of IT project management frameworks and SDLC processes.
  • Experience in government or enterprise-level technology programs is a plus.
