Job Description:
Role: Project Manager
Location: Bay area, CA (Remote)
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee complex IT systems and integration projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management methodologies, excellent leadership skills, and hands-on experience with ServiceNow and Agile practices. This role requires exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills to ensure the successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver complex IT systems and integration projects, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
- Lead multi-phase project planning, scheduling, and execution using project management best practices.
- Oversee Agile project delivery, including sprint planning, backlog management, and iterative release cycles.
- Utilize ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management for project tracking, reporting, and governance.
- Manage the deployment and implementation of the ServiceNow Platform, ensuring smooth transition and adoption.
- Facilitate and coordinate Organizational Change Management (OCM) activities to support project success.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation including schedules, status reports, and project plans.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure timely delivery.
- Use Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word for project planning, tracking, and reporting purposes.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Certification:
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) (verification required).
- Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years of broad and extensive experience managing complex IT systems and integration projects.
- At least three (3) years of that experience must be in a lead or supervisory capacity.
- Experience must include projects with strategic and business significance, with details on scope, timeframe, cost, and specific responsibilities demonstrating application of Project Management principles and best practices.
- Agile Methodology:
- Minimum three (3) years of experience managing projects utilizing Agile methodologies.
- Project Evaluation & Oversight:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience evaluating and managing large-scale, multi-phase projects, including the development of project schedules, status reports, and plans (within the last ten years).
- Technical Proficiency:
- Minimum three (3) years of experience using Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.
- ServiceNow Expertise:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience managing deployment and implementation of the ServiceNow Platform.
- Organizational Change Management:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience facilitating and coordinating Organization Change Management (OCM) initiatives.
Preferred Skills
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation abilities.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and drive results under tight deadlines.
- Deep understanding of IT project management frameworks and SDLC processes.
- Experience in government or enterprise-level technology programs is a plus.
