Job Details
Key Duties:
Oversee estimation processes and project coordination for ground improvement initiatives, deep foundation systems, earthwork operations, and earth-retention shoring solutions within Civil Engineering.
Conduct field assessments to analyze construction logistics and site conditions.
Complete pre-qualification procedures for projects when necessary.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of geotechnical reports, project specifications, and plans & drawings.
Solicit and assess quotes from subcontractors and vendors.
Develop bid proposals & budgets, cost estimates, and quantity take-offs.
Execute modeling and Design-Build calculations.
Support contract negotiations and review construction scope of work sheets.
Generate project schedules, RFI's, and submittals.
Coordinate scheduling and procurement of required materials and specialty equipment.
Collaborate with field foreman and superintendents to oversee cost management and project quality control.
Generate change orders and project draft billings.
Deliver required close out paperwork and project as-built drawings.
Build and sustain positive working relationships with ownership and clients.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum 3-4+ years experience in geotechnical or civil engineering fields.
Project management experience: 2 years
Competency with project management tools and software, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Experience with AutoCAD preferred.
Fundamental knowledge of construction methods and means.
Ability to travel to different job sites.
Valid Driver's License required.
