Cybersecurity Support Engineer III

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Infrastructure Engineer with a deep understanding of technology and infrastructure beyond traditional Cybersecurity functions such as gap analysis or control assessments. This role is critical to driving secure innovation across our infrastructure and tooling, working closely with other team members and other technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of secure infrastructure aligned with Zero Trust Architecture principles.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to enhance cloud security (primarily Azure) and support the transition to modern identity platforms (e.g., Microsoft, Okta).
• Architect and implement Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies and solutions.
• Drive network segmentation and secure access control initiatives across a predominantly SaaS-based environment.
• Support and improve API security standards (e.g., OAuth, token management) in environments without existing tooling.
• Automate infrastructure and security processes using PowerShell and/or Python.
• Manage virtual environments and contribute to potential Terraform implementation.
• Contribute to and/or lead efforts involving Azure DevOps and broader DevSecOps practices.
• Collaborate with the 24/7 SOC team to investigate and remediate security incidents.
• Serve as a senior technical leader, mentoring junior staff and helping to define the organization s secure technology roadmap.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on systems security engineering solutions
• Hands-on experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools and strategies.
• Foundational Engineering skills in IT infrastructure, including virtual environments and cloud-native systems.
• Professional experience with public cloud security implementations and governance of related security controls (e.g. Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Proficiency with creating PowerShell and/or Python scripts for provisioning automation.
• Demonstrated experience with security-focused architecture and secure software/tooling implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in the healthcare industry or within HIPAA-regulated environments.
• Experience implementing or supporting network segmentation and access management solutions.
• Familiarity with API security practices, including OAuth and token-based authentication.
• Exposure to Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
• Knowledge of or experience with Azure DevOps and DevSecOps principles.
• At least one Cybersecurity certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+) is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
