Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive engineering strategies, ensuring alignment with our company's business goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of our tech services.
  • Leverage your technical expertise to solve complex engineering problems and make strategic decisions.
  • Work closely with other departments, including legal and operations, to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Mentor and coach team members, helping them to develop their skills and advance their careers.
  • Participate hands-on in the development process, contributing your coding skills and technical expertise.
  • Ensure the successful execution of projects, managing risks, and resolving issues as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the tech industry, preferably in a startup environment.
  • Proficient in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and Ruby on Rails (RoR).
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems and their challenges.
  • Proven track record of managing and leading high-performing engineering teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the legal aspects of the tech industry, including data privacy and intellectual property rights.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
