Job Title: Cloud Architect

Position Overview: A leading technology organization is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect for a 6-month remote contract. This role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud infrastructure across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). The Cloud Architect will play a critical role in aligning cloud strategies with business objectives while ensuring best-in-class technical implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, build, and maintain enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
Collaborate with stakeholders, business leads, and product owners to translate requirements into scalable, efficient architectures.
Design cloud-based data transformation solutions, operational frameworks, application integration approaches, and migration strategies.
Establish and enforce cloud standards, governance policies, and best practices across development and operations teams.
Lead migrations of applications, data, and processes to cloud environments.
Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure infrastructure reliability, performance, and availability.
Develop and maintain architectural documentation, templates, and operational guidelines for deployment teams.
Serve as a liaison between engineering teams and leadership to ensure alignment between technical and business objectives.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar role.
Proven expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, data architecture, and DevOps methodologies.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
Familiarity with cloud-native services, microservices architecture, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently in a distributed, remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
Experience in enterprise migration projects and hybrid cloud environments.
