Job Description:

Essential Job Results
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
  • Create and maintain features for REST APIs written in Java.
  • Maintain and add features to an Angular front end written in TypeScript.
  • Integrate data from various backend services and databases.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders on specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
  • Create and maintain software documentation.
  • Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling the applications.
  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them to operations and activities.
  • Develop cloud infrastructure pipeline using Terraform, Jenkins, and Chef to streamline provisioning process for AWS.

Skills/Requirements
  • Excellent programming skills in Java, and familiarity with Python, TypeScript and Ruby.
  • Experience developing Angular frontends.
  • Detailed infrastructure-as-code experience: Terraform, Chef, CloudFormation, CDK, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms: AWS ECS, AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, AWS EC2, CloudFront, etc.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with DevOps practices, including Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, CI/CD, Docker, DataDog.
  • Strong SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries. Specific experience with databases and data stores like Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB (AWS DocumentDB).
  • Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge and experience with agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
  • AWS Certification a plus.
  • Hospitality industry experience a plus.
