Role: Security Compliance Architect Workstation Patching and Remediation Location: Remote Experience:10 years Long term Contract
Job Description:
As the Security Compliance Architect Workstation Patching and Remediation, you will lead the strategic and operational transformation of endpoint patch compliance for over 200,000+ Windows and Linux workstations. You will provide oversight of a dedicated patch compliance engineering team (~5 people) and serve as the functional lead and decision-maker for enterprise patch tooling, including platforms such as SCCM, Intune, Windows Autopatch, and PatchMyPC.
You will approve large-scale patch deployments, drive cross-functional coordination, continuously optimize compliance processes, and provide executive-level reporting. The role also includes managing tooling vendor relationships and acting as a key liaison with stakeholder teams including Cybersecurity, Vulnerability Management (VMS), Global IT, Intune-Autopilot, SCCM-OSD, and LPN
- 10+ years of experience in endpoint security, vulnerability remediation, or IT compliance in enterprise-scale environments
- Strong expertise with SCCM, Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopatch, and third-party patching tools such as PatchMyPC, Nexthink, and Qualys VMDR
- Demonstrated ability to lead patch engineering teams, drive governance, and ensure alignment to risk-based priorities
- Advanced scripting capabilities (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and workflow automation experience
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability platforms such as Qualys for compliance assessment and reporting
- Executive-level communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Background in Big 4 consulting, large global consultancies, or regulated enterprise IT environments
- Awareness of GenAI and automation capabilities that could enhance patching workflows or security posture
- Familiarity with risk orchestration platforms such as Brinqa or Vulcan
- Understanding of GRC frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls)
- Experience supporting endpoint modernization efforts, including SCCM-to-Intune transitions
