Job Details

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Java Developer position.

Position type: Fulltime Contract

Duration: 6 months

Location: Lakeland FL (Remote)

Key Responsibilities:

Development & Migration (85%)

  • Analyze and estimate development efforts for Supply Chain solutions.
  • Upgrade existing WebLogic-based applications to Java 8.
  • Refactor and migrate batch solutions to Java 17.
  • Transition batch programs from Solaris to RHEL.
  • Migrate source code from TFS to Azure DevOps (if required).
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
  • Collaborate with QA and support teams for testing and validation.
  • Deploy and monitor changes during the stabilization phase.

Documentation & Support (15%)

  • Maintain technical documentation including procedures and support materials.
  • Ensure proper change control documentation is updated and tracked.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Spring & Spring Batch Framework: Minimum 5 years
  • Angular: Minimum 5 years
  • RESTful Web Services: Minimum 5 years
  • Java (Version 17 or latest): Minimum 3 years
  • DevOps & CI/CD Pipelines: Minimum 3 years
  • Oracle WebLogic Server: Minimum 2 years
  • Experience with UNIX, MQ, and Oracle is a plus
  • Java Upgrade Experience: Hands-on experience upgrading from Java 8 to Java 17
  • Technical Documentation: Proven ability to write and maintain documentation
  • Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile environments
  • Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and collaboration abilities
  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Migration of batch programs from Solaris to RHEL
  • Source code migration from TFS to Azure DevOps
  • Stabilization and monitoring of production deployments

Work Description and Responsibilities:

This project involves modernizing web services and websites. The development will use C#, .NET Core, Azure services, containers and other related programming toolkit.

Pay Range*: $55- $60/per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
