Quality Assurance Analyst

Interview Process: 1 round, virtual

Duration of the Contract: 12 months with extensions

Work Location: Role is 100% remote

Candidate location: No SC residency required. Candidate must reside in lower 48 states (Continental US) and comfortable working EST time zone hours.

This position will provide Quality Assurance duties for MEDS, MMIS, MMRS, and RMMIS systems projects. The Mainframe Quality Assurance team is a combination of Clemson information technology professionals and experienced consultants, and we are seeking individuals who are highly productive, very flexible, and can work effectively in an environment where ambiguity is common. Team members are expected to contribute with minimal supervision and be self-motivated. The project demands individuals who are strong collaborators, who want to make a positive contribution to the State of South Carolina and can understand top-level goals and objectives and drive toward them.

Scope of the project

This project includes making federally mandated Changes for the Medicaid System of SC. This position will perform Quality Assurance (QA) Requirements and support User Acceptance (UA) testing of software coding changes to Medicaid Systems Related data. Testing of changes will include testing with the USERS and external healthcare providers and trading partners as Needed. THIS PROJECT REQUIRES interfacing with other agencies and Other Internal Systems.

Daily Duties / Responsibilities:

** This is a Quality Assurance Tester Position, Not a Programmer, BA, or Project Manager position.**
  • Work collaboratively with Project Team to test coding changes.
  • Duties include creation of test scenarios, running of tests, analysis of test results, resolution of differences in actual and expected test results and working with SCDHHS to support User Acceptance testing.
  • Communicate effectively in both written and spoken communication. work collaboratively with Clemson staff and other contracted staff.

Requirements

Required Skills (rank in order of Importance):

  • Atleast 8 years of experience in QA Testing and UAT Testing
  • Mainframe, MVS COBOL, JCL, Software Testing, Creation of Test Scenarios
  • Soft skills Required: Effective Communication Skills (written and oral), Adaptability, Flexibility, Self-motivation, Problem Solving, Analytical Thinking, Time Management, Ability to work effectively in a stressful environment, TEAM-WORK
Preferred Skills (rank in order of Importance):
  • CA-ADS, SQL, Serena ChangeMan or other change control tools, Use of testing tools, Medicaid (MMIS) or claims processing experience

Required Education:

BACHELOR DEGREE and experience in Quality Assurance Testing.
