Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certification Lead to coordinate all certification activities for our contract in collaboration with the Agency's certification team. The Certification Lead will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our IT systems meet all necessary certification requirements, with a particular focus on healthcare or Medicaid-related projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in certifying IT systems, with a strong understanding of the current CMS required certification lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all certification activities for the contract in alignment with the Agency's certification team
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant certification requirements, regulations, and standards
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the CMS required certification lifecycle as it pertains to the contract
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all certification-related inquiries and communications
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary documentation and information for certification purposes
  • Conduct thorough reviews and assessments of IT systems to identify and address any gaps or deficiencies in certification requirements
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline and optimize the certification process, where possible
  • Provide regular updates and reports on certification status, progress, and any potential risks or issues
  • Actively participate in meetings, working groups, and other forums related to certification activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience certifying IT systems, preferably in healthcare or Medicaid-related projects
  • In-depth knowledge of the current CMS required certification lifecycle
  • Strong understanding of relevant certification standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring high-quality deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
