Job description :

We are seeking a skilled SAP Basis Consultant to support and manage the SAP environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of SAP systems across development, test, and production environments. This includes both ABAP and Java stacks and may involve on-premise and cloud-based systems (e.g., SAP HANA, S/4HANA, SAP BTP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager, etc.).

  • Perform system monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.

  • Manage SAP transport landscapes and perform transports.

  • Handle user administration and system security settings.

  • Perform system copies, migrations, and upgrades.

  • Plan and execute kernel patches and enhancement package implementations.

  • Perform regular system backups and restore as needed.

  • Coordinate with SAP support (OSS) for resolving technical issues.

  • Collaborate with functional consultants, developers, and infrastructure teams.

  • Support disaster recovery and high-availability setup.

  • Ensure compliance with IT security and audit standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Minimum [X] years of hands-on SAP Basis experience.

  • Strong experience with:

    • SAP NetWeaver architecture

    • SAP HANA and/or traditional RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL, etc.)

    • SAP S/4HANA or ECC

    • Operating systems (Linux/Unix/Windows)

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.

  • Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager (SolMan).

  • Familiarity with SAP security concepts and roles.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP Basis certification (optional but preferred).

  • Experience in SAP upgrades, migrations (e.g., OS/DB, HANA), and Unicode conversions.

  • Knowledge of SAP BTP, SAP Fiori, or SAP Gateway.

  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SAP CCMS, LMDB, Alerting Framework).
