RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a Senior Solution Architect to assist a client with a Pega to Camunda Migration. They are open to candidates in Denver, St. Louis, and Charlotte locations.
Overview:
Our client is undertaking a major transformation program to migrate existing workflows from Pega to Camunda. We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect with deep Camunda expertise to translate high-level migration designs into well-structured BPMN and DMN solutions that can be executed by development teams. The selected Solution Architect will partner closely with Rekhav, who is producing the high-level migration design. This role will take those designs and build detailed BPMN workflows, DMN decision tables, and technical architecture patterns that guide developers, QAs, and cross-functional teams through implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Translate high-level migration designs into detailed Camunda BPMN workflows ready for development
* Create, optimize, and maintain DMN decision tables in support of next-generation business processes
* Define and document end-to-end solution architecture for Pega Camunda migration, ensuring alignment with technical constraints and business goals
* Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to ensure clarity, feasibility, and quality
* Implement optimization and caching techniques to work within the client's limited Camunda call constraints, designing efficient and scalable process solutions
* Provide technical leadership, best practices, and architectural guidance throughout the project lifecycle
REQUIREMENTS:
* Expert-level experience with Camunda (BPM engine, architecture, implementation patterns)
* Strong hands-on experience creating BPMN workflows for complex enterprise processes
* Proven expertise with DMN tables and decision automation
* Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with developers, QAs, business stakeholders, and leadership
* Experience with optimization, caching, and performance tuning-especially important due to Camunda call limitations and architectural constraints
* Ability to design solutions for environments with restricted tool capabilities, creating efficient and resilient patterns
* Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and deeply fluent in Camunda's capabilities
* Excel at converting high-level conceptual designs into executable workflows and understand how to optimize process performance under system constraints
* Hands-on, collaborative, and comfortable acting as the technical bridge between architecture and development
Nice-to-Have:
* Experience with Provenir platform and ecosystem
* Previous exposure to Pega or Pega-to-Camunda migration efforts
* Familiarity with decisioning engines, workflow orchestration, and integrations in financial services or similar regulated environments
