Roles and Resposnibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate ART Processes: Lead and coordinate the Agile Release Train, ensuring smooth execution of ART events and practices.
- Manage Program Increment (PI) Planning: Organize and facilitate PI planning sessions, aligning teams around shared goals and objectives.
- Remove Impediments: Identify and resolve obstacles that hinder the progress of the ART, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Coach Teams: Provide guidance and support to Agile teams, helping them adopt Lean-Agile practices and improve their performance.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collect Metrics: Gather and analyze performance metrics to drive improvements and optimize the flow of value through the ART.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in Agile Methodologies: Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, particularly the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Scrum, and Kanban.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and management abilities to guide teams and navigate challenges in software development.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Highly developed skills to identify, analyze, and address issues that may impede project delivery.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate project goals and progress to stakeholders.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with software development processes and tools, including coding languages and system integrations.
- Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in software development, project management, or a related field is often required, with many RTEs holding additional certifications such as the SAFe Release Train Engineer certification.
