Business Process Design Manager with "AI-First" Experience

Location: Columbia, MD (100% Remote)

Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Business Process Design will play a critical role in shaping the client's transformation toward AI-first operations. This individual will work closely with the VP of Innovation & AI, the broader innovation team, and cross-functional stakeholders including business units, faculty, academic operations, and technology teams to lead business process redesign in alignment with major AI initiatives.

Acting as the enterprise s process design lead, this person will map current-state workflows, identify high-value opportunities for AI optimization, and design seamless future-state processes that integrate AI systems with existing platforms and operations. This is a highly collaborative role that blends systems thinking, analytical rigor, and a deep understanding of how AI changes the way work gets done.

Qualifications:

Expertise in business process design, operations strategy, or enterprise transformation

Proven experience in process mapping, systems thinking, and workflow optimization

Strong understanding of AI s role in business processes especially automation and decision augmentation

Excellent facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills

Experience working with cross-functional teams across business and academic environments

Familiarity with tools such as Lucidchart, Miro, BPMN, or process mining platforms
