Job Description:

Logistician - DMSMS Software
Norfalk, VA


Position Description:
The Logistician - DMSMS Software position is responsible for managing logistic engineering and life cycle support services. Additional responsibilities include managing customer services and logistic product support team and providing ILS, interim support requirements development and execution, and lifecycle cost analysis support services.
Duties include managing all End of Life IT items and tracking software within the programs to assure timely integration of software updates, renewals, etc. Working with engineers and other subject matter experts to deliver the best possible solution to out-of-date equipment/software.
Primary responsibilities:
  • Tracking software for PMW-160 systems using QStar
  • Conduct spares planning
  • Preparation of monthly software obsolescence report for Logistics, Engineering, and the Program Office.
Job requirements:
  • 8-10 years' Logistics experience, including familiarity with EOL/EOS cycles, software tracking, provisioning, purchasing, vendor relations, and logistics engineering.
  • Bachelors degree in a related field
  • Active SECRET clearance
Preferred qualifications:
  • Direct experience with PMW-160 systems, including intermediate knowledge of the ADNS and CANES programs.
  • Experience with QStar, REMEDY, and CMPRO.

  • Secret Security Clearance (Can Hold Top Secret as well)
  • 6+ Years of Logistics Experience, including familiarity with EOL/EOS cycles, software tracking, provisioning, purchasing, vendor relations, and logistics engineering.
  • Direct Experience Supporting TACNET Programs involving any of the following interchangeable Systems/Networks (Tactical Communications, C4I Systems, ADNS, CANES, ISNS, Centrix, PMW-160 Systems, or Similar)
