Job Title: Senior Business Analyst
Location: Boston, MA (Hybrid 2 days onsite per week)
Duration: 12 Months

Position Summary

A government technology initiative is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with a minimum of five years of experience to support the successful implementation of various technology projects. This role requires the ability to translate business needs into detailed requirements, perform impact assessments, and work closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders. Familiarity with software development lifecycles, systems integration, and project/task management is essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate workshops with agency subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and refine detailed business requirements

  • Document and maintain business requirements and process flows for implementation

  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal teams during requirement discussions, and review both functional and technical specifications

  • Support testing, implementation, triage, and issue resolution efforts

  • Identify, track, and help resolve project-related issues and risks

  • Conduct workflow analyses to detect gaps and inefficiencies

  • Create and review business process workflows with SMEs for approval

  • Validate business and system processes in collaboration with SMEs

  • Support QA teams by clarifying requirements and mapping them to test scenarios

  • Deliver clear presentations and demonstrate strong customer service and organizational skills


Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree or higher in Engineering, Technology, or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role

  • Prior experience working in local, state, or federal government settings is preferred

  • Experience with State-Based Marketplaces (SBMs) is a strong plus

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, MS Project, Excel, and Visio
