Overview:
The client is seeking a highly experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain advanced firewall and network security solutions. This role focuses on Next Generation Firewalls, secure VPN infrastructure, routing, and segmentation to ensure a secure, high-performance, and scalable network environment. The engineer will serve as a key resource in safeguarding organizational systems and integrating security solutions across the enterprise.
Job responsibilities:
Lead the design and architecture of Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) solutions
Gather requirements and translate them into effective firewall configurations
Deploy NGFW solutions following industry best practices for security, availability, and performance
Review and update firewall policies to mitigate emerging threats
Design, configure, and maintain IPSEC VPN tunnels for secure connectivity
Troubleshoot and resolve VPN connectivity and performance issues
Implement VRF for enhanced network segmentation and isolation
Configure and manage BGP for scalable and efficient routing
Manage FTD Firewalls and ANS Cloud Firewalls
Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure seamless firewall integration
(Preferred) Manage Cisco Meraki switches
