Job Details

Position 1: Medical Coder - Level I

Location: 100% Remote

Pay rate: $25/hr on W2
Certification (one required): RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC
Experience: Minimum 1 year (non-internship) coding experience in inpatient, outpatient, or multi-specialty physician settings using ICD-10-CM guidelines
Responsibilities:

  • Apply ICD-10-CM coding guidelines for inpatient, outpatient, and physician records
  • Adhere to Official Coding Clinic standards
  • Maintain strict data security (PHI/PII) while working remotely
    Supervisory Responsibilities: None
    Travel: None

Position 2: Medical Coder - Level II

Location: 100% Remote

Pay rate: $30/hr on W2
Certification (one required): RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC
Experience: Minimum 5 years in abstracting and coding general acute hospital (inpatient/outpatient) and physician medical records using ICD-9/ICD-10-CM guidelines and Coding Clinics
Other Requirements:

  • Ability to function in a lead role and/or train HIM medical record reviewers
  • Serve as a "Master Coder" for all coding projects
  • Strong knowledge and skills in inpatient and outpatient coding
    Supervisory Responsibilities: This role may include supervisory or lead responsibilities
    Travel: None
