Job Title: Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer

Location: Hartford,CT

Duration: Long Term

Responsibilities:

Data Architecture and Design:

• Design, implement, and maintain data architecture on the Google Cloud Platform to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and design efficient solutions.

Data Integration:

• Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ingest and transform data from various sources into Google Cloud Platform.
• Implement real-time data streaming solutions for timely and accurate data processing.

Data Modeling:

• Design and implement data models that align with business requirements and industry best practices.
• Optimize data structures for performance and efficiency.

Google Cloud Platform Services:

• Utilize Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataprep, and others to build scalable and efficient data processing pipelines.
• Stay updated on the latest Google Cloud Platform features and recommend their adoption for continuous improvement.

Monitoring and Optimization:

• Implement monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of data pipelines.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, optimize queries, and improve overall system efficiency.
• Collaboration:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Documentation:

• Document design, implementation, and maintenance procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and support team collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataprep, and Pub/Sub.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or Java.
• Experience with data modeling and database design.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and tools.
• Familiarity with healthcare data is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Google Cloud Platform Certification (Professional Data Engineer, Associate Cloud Engineer, etc. (Preffered).
• Experience with healthcare data standards and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
