Job Details
JOB SUMMARY:
Candidates will perform nondestructive testing and evaluation activities associated with the design, manufacture, and continuing operational safety of aircraft.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review, revise, and/or write NDT technique and procedure development for aircraft, and inspection requirements for field repair reports
NDI data management for NDI Certification programs; may include data entry, analyzation, presentation, and archiving report results
Perform and/or manage NDT kit lease program and validation activities
Provide technical support to internal manufacturing operations, Customer Service, suppliers, and in-service aircraft
o Inspection Procedures Manual (IPM)
Maintain Section 1 to align with NAS410
Maintain personnel certification forms
Monitor and adopt specs to align with industry standards
o Level 3 oversight
Periodic audits
Provide training and testing
Engagement with Textron Aviation International Service Centers
Review design concepts and engineering drawings
Report weekly activities and financial results
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Prefer as a minimum, three Level 3 certifications or two Level 3 certifications and two Level 2 certifications.
Associate of Applied Science or Bachelor's Degree (Minor) in Nondestructive Testing or a Bachelor's Degree of Science in relevant STEM and 5 years of relevant technical or NDT experience required; or, in lieu of an NDT or STEM degree, 7 years of NDT experience required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional and diplomatic demeanor
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong sense of accountability and integrity
Strong hands-on experience with NDT instrumentation
Strong familiarity with MS Office Products
