Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Project Records Technician for a contract opportunity projected to last approximately 6 months. This role is integral to ensuring the integrity and compliance of engineering, material, test, and construction records for natural gas pipeline facilities. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working independently and remotely, with minimal oversight. Daily communication will be facilitated through email and web meeting tools, emphasizing the ability to manage electronic project files efficiently.

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Project Records Technician for a contract opportunity projected to last approximately 6 months. This role is integral to ensuring the integrity and compliance of engineering, material, test, and construction records for natural gas pipeline facilities. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working independently and remotely, with minimal oversight. Responsibilities:
- Compile, review, and assemble a variety of engineering documents, including pressure test records, nondestructive evaluation records (NDE), material test records (MTRs), and Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) documents.
- Ensure all project documentation meets compliance standards set by Williams and the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA).
- Conduct thorough research on electronic project files to verify the accuracy and completeness of records.
- Perform gap analyses to identify missing information and take appropriate steps to procure necessary documents.
- Prepare and organize documents effectively, ensuring all records are up to date and readily accessible for review and audits.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Construction, and Document Controls teams to streamline the records compilation process.
- Utilize web-based tools for daily communications and updates on project progress and documentation status.
Qualifications:
- Associate s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in field operations or construction, specifically within the pipeline or related industries.
- Comprehensive understanding of pipeline construction, material, and project records.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards including DOT 49CFR192, ASME B31.3, and ASME B31.8 is essential.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage tasks with electronic files.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for daily coordination with team members.
- Capability to perform under tight deadlines and within a fast-paced environment.
