We're seeking a Services/API SDET to design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable test automation for our backend services and APIs. - Define API test strategy and coverage across unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end service tests; prioritize critical paths.
- Validate API contracts against OpenAPI/Swagger; enforce schema and backwards compatibility checks in CI.
- Create robust negative, edge, and resilience tests (timeouts, retries, circuit breakers); use mocking/service virtualization where needed.
- Manage test data and environments (seeding, fixtures, synthetic data); keep tests deterministic and fast.
- Integrate tests into CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure Devops): parallel runs, environment provisioning,

- Strong understanding of HTTP/REST fundamentals (status codes, headers, caching), JSON, and API design; experience with GraphQL preferred.
- Experience validating contracts (OpenAPI/Swagger), schema assertions, and compatibility checks.
- CI/CD experience: configuring pipelines, test reporting, and gating on failures/coverage.
