Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced FreeBSD Engineer to support our team by analyzing, triaging, and resolving security vulnerabilities identified in our FreeBSD-based codebase. The role does not require kernel-level expertise but does require strong knowledge of FreeBSD environments and application/system security practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and triage findings from automated/manual security scans.

  • Investigate and resolve security vulnerabilities in FreeBSD systems and applications.

  • Collaborate with engineering and security teams to apply patches or implement mitigations.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of issues and applied resolutions.

  • Contribute proactively to improving the overall security posture of FreeBSD environments.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on experience with FreeBSD or similar UNIX/Linux systems.

  • Strong knowledge of security fundamentals (buffer overflows, privilege escalation, misconfigurations).

  • Experience with vulnerability scanners, static analysis tools, or penetration testing reports.

  • Proficiency in command-line environments and version control systems (e.g., Git).
