Job Summary:
We are seeking a Murex Functional Expert to lead and support the implementation, configuration, and enhancement of Murex platforms (MX.3) across front-to-back-office operations. You will work closely with traders, risk managers, operations, and IT teams to design solutions, gather requirements, and ensure Murex modules align with business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with front, middle, and back-office teams to gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications within the Murex platform.
- Configure and support various Murex modules including Trade Capture, Risk (VaR, PnL, Greeks), Back Office, Collateral Management, and Workflow.
- Conduct GAP analysis and define functional architecture for Murex implementation or upgrade projects. Perform data mapping, static data setup, and trade migration during implementations.
- Manage testing cycles, unit testing, SIT, UAT, including test case design and defect tracking.
- Support daily operations, resolve functional issues, and improve STP workflows.
- Collaborate with Murex technical team (DBA, Integration, Report Developers) for solution delivery.
- Prepare functional documentation (BRD, FSD, User Manuals).
- Support regulatory and compliance initiatives (e.g., FRTB, SIMM, IBOR transition) within Murex.
Key Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Murex (MX.3) in a functional/business analyst capacity.
- Strong understanding of financial products (e.g., IRD, FX, EQD, Credit, Commodities).
- Deep knowledge of Murex modules such as: Front Office (FO) MxML Workflow Murex Simulation Views Risk and PnL modules Back Office (BO workflows, confirmations, settlements) Collateral & Margining Experience with configuration tools, static data, market data, and reference data in Murex.
- Familiarity with trade life cycle management and STP processes.
- Good grasp of financial risk management, derivatives valuation, and pricing models.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Murex upgrades or greenfield implementations.
- Knowledge of scripting (SQL, XML, Unix) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Bachelor's or master s degree in finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
