Position Title: Model Based Systems Engineer

Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO

Relocation Assistance: None available at this time

Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time

Description of Duties:

The Model Based Systems Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
Drive culture and adoption of MBSE throughout the organization by promoting the use of MBSE and providing training and support to the team.
Develop standard work and business operating procedures related to MBSE and system architecture deployment.
Create formal processes for applying MBSE within the program.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams by working closely with various engineering disciplines and departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated system design and digital environment.
Integrate Model-based Systems Engineering Principles and Requirements into digital environments across the enterprise.
Develop and manage system architectures, interfaces, and requirements using MBSE tools. This involves creating models using languages like SysML to represent the system's structure, behavior, and various functional and non-functional requirements.
Communicate complex engineering technical information to team members of various backgrounds and disciplines.
Help establish and maintain the Technical Baseline for a Command and Control (C2), and Research, Development, and Test (RDT) Operations Center.

Basic Requirements:
Must have 5, or more, years of systems engineering experience
Must have strong knowledge of systems engineering frameworks (e.g. DoDAF, UAF, TOGAF)
Must have strong knowledge of modeling languages (e.g. SySML, UML)
Must have experience using model-based SE tools (DOORs, Cameo, Rhapsody, etc.)
Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in IT or any STEM related field

This position is expected to pay $130,000 - $145,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
