QC Lab Automation Project Manager

Tandym Group is seeking an experienced Program/Project Manager to lead a multi-phase cross-functional Quality Control (QC) Laboratory Automation initiative.

This is a long term contract, hybrid in the Boston area. Qualified candidates must be available to work onsite 2-3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end program/project management for the QC Lab Automation initiative, from discovery through execution.


• Develop and maintain a comprehensive cross-functional workplan, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables across requirements, design, implementation and testing.


• Identify and manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies.


• Establish and lead program governance, including steering committees, stakeholder communications, and decision-making frameworks.


• Collaborate with QC, IT and Lab Automation teams to ensure alignment of business needs and technical solutions.


• Manage program budget and resource planning, as needed.


• Create and maintain project documentation including requirements, design, and test documents.


• Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards throughout the program lifecycle including GxP regulatory requirements.


• Provide regular updates to executive leadership and stakeholders via regular program updates highlighting accomplishments, risks, resource plans and timelines.

Qualifications:

• At least 10+ years of proven experience in lab automation and application implementation


• Strong Project Management/Business Analyst skills to drive projects and timelines


• Work with vendors, keeping them in alignment with project goals


• Strong understanding of laboratory systems and data workflows


• Experience with LIMS systems, automation, and instrumentation


• Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills


• Ability to gather requirements, identify gaps, and deliver actionable solutions


• Experience working in regulated environments and with QC labs
